During the Zhenguan era of the Tang Dynasty, Fairy Xuansu, under the Empress's command, journeyed east to retrieve the "True Dharma Heavenly Book." Along the way, she successively accepted three disciples: Yanling, Biyan, and Shuanghua. Following the structure of the 81 tribulations in "Journey to the West," each tribulation involved demons or celestial beings binding the fairies with magical ropes, adorning them with nipple rings, chastity rings, nose rings, and bells, subjecting them to public sexual abuse and humiliation. Interspersed within these trials were other tales of divine beings engaging in similar acts of sexual torment.
